Countdown to Edible Gardens Open Day 2014

Over 100 community gardens have registered for Edible Gardens Open Day. Read more about the day and one of the inspirational gardens taking part.

Edible Gardens Open Day 2014

Edible Gardens Open Day will be taking place on 20th September 2014. We want community gardens around the country to join us for the nation’s biggest community garden open day.

It’s a opportunity to celebrate what you do, share what you have grown with your community and get more people involved. Contact your local Big Dig co-ordinator to register your interest or if your town or city is not yet a member of the network then email thebigdig@sustainweb.org.

Thousands of people take part in Big Dig Day 2013

280 gardens across the UK took part in the Big Dig Day in March 2013. Despite freezing conditions and rain and snow, over 2,000 volunteers took part and helped make their local community gardens grow.
